Emily Ellis

Growing up with her two sisters and brother in rural Brooks, Maine, Emily Ellis never imagined the direction her life would take. What started out as healthy athletic competitions with siblings evolved into a full fledged love of sports, especially basketball. She held a starring role on her high school team, and later became a standout at the University of Maine. Emily set over 20 records, and her Number 40 jersey was the first ever retired at the college for any athlete, male or female.

There's no Place Like Home

After earning her Bachelors degree in Education, Emily went on to play professional basketball in Finland and Austria before returning to the United States. One thing she learned from her globe trotting adventures is that there is no feeling like the one she had when returning home to such a beautiful place as Maine, with friendly people and her cherished friends and family.

After a short stint as a teacher and coach, Emily became the General Manager of Golds Gym in Bangor for seven years. There she met her business partner and the love of her life, Tom Hashey. From the gym setting and with an extensive contact list they took their enthusiasm into Real Estate. The Emily Ellis Team was born. Now instead of shooting for the health goals of their clients, they were thrown the ball for another big investment of buying or selling a home. Emily says it's not such a stretch, "The goal is still the same. We are getting people where they want to go, with all the information they'll need to be successful."

Tom Hashey

Tom's interest in architectural design and renovations began in his late teens and early twenties when he attended the Boston Museum School. With a degree in Fine Arts, Tom explored his interest in old buildings by refining his carpentry skills to align with his visions of restoring the original lines and intricate details which are classic characteristics of older homes. His first project, the complete restoration of a twenty room boarding home in Montreal, helped him to realize that his work not only gave him personal satisfaction, but brought beauty and pride to the community as well.

Originally an Orono boy, Tom moved back to Maine in the early 1990's to be closer to family and friends and continued his restoration work, which led to the eventual opening of his own company, "Why Not, Inc." Tom currently works with Burgoin & Thibodeau, planning new construction while maintaining his restoration business.

Tom was instrumental in the formation of the Emily Ellis Team. His contracting and restoration abilities came in handy when Emily purchased a new home and together they decided that Real Estate, Restoration and Friendship were a winning combination. Tom earned his Real Estate Associate Brokers License and he and Emily began working together to help others find homes, with which they too could fall in love.

Renee Hudgens

Renee Hudgens is a new member of the Emily Ellis Team. After running a local furniture store for 10 years, Chez Renee Home Furnishings, she felt it was time to get out of the retail world of home furnishings and sell the whole house instead. She brings with her that entrepreneurial drive and determination to assist those in either buying or selling their home. She is excited to be a sales agent in such a fast paced office with Emily and her team to guide her.

Renee has been married for 17 years to Glen Hudgens, and they have 2 daughters, Kortnie 16 and Miranda 12. She is the ultimate soccer mom in the fall and swim team mom in the winter. Renee loves to be active in the business and residential community of Bangor. “I’ve lived in several other areas in Maine, Massachusetts, and California but the Bangor Region is where my heart is. I love to show people all that the area has to offer.”

Renee grew up in East Millinocket and is a graduate of Brooks College in Long Beach, CA for Fashion Merchandising.
She is a graduate of the Bangor Region Leadership Institute, member of Fusion Bangor,  and this year's President of Tuesday Forum women’s networking group.

Dale Lynch

Dale Lynch was born in Kittery but then moved to Island Falls Maine. In
1954 his family moved back to Kittery for his father to take a job at
Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. He graduated high school in Kittery in 1961
and enlisted in the Navy and served on a destroyer until 1966. Like his
father, an opportunity came up for employment a the shipyard, and he
remained there until the mid 1990's. He retired as a Production Group
Superintendent (GS-15). Dale is has been married since 1975 to Nancy
Ferguson and have three children, Kim, Ryan and Lisa. After retirement,
they sold their home in Kittery and moved to Patten, ME, where he now
resides. He became a sales agent in 2005.
Dale is back in the "North Country" primarily for the hunting and
fishing but also for the cost of living, as property in and around
Kittery has gotten so expensive. He enjoys life in the north great for
3 seasons, buts finds winter a little tiresome. Dale is the Ellis' Team
Connection in the "North Country"!
